Baby Diver

I completed my open water dives last weekend, so I am now officially Scooba certified. Woohoo. These dives took place in the "ocean" of Haymarket... okay, if you know your Virginia geography, you'll realize that there is no ocean of any kind in the vicinity of Haymarket. So where did I dive? In a quarry. Yes, a quarry. Water temp was a rather chilly 50 degrees F so I kept warm with mega-thick wetsuit, which made me look and feel like some kind of a sea monster. And visibility was about 5 ft., though there was little to see besides an old school bus and some small fish. Anyway, this will all be worth it when I try out my Scuba skills in Curacao later this month!
